ANASTASIIA KOVTUN PSYCHOLOGY
SIT BESIDE ME - YOU EXIST!
about me.
I am still on the path...
I was born and raised in a big city in Ukraine, yet my soul grew where my roots belong, in a small village among nature. After the Chernobyl nuclear power plant explosion, my father bought a house, in a place full of other farms. There, in the village, I learned to live from my soul through being among wise elderly women and barefoot children, among fragrant acacias trees and wild juicy berries, among woods, valleys and rivers. There, I learned to be involved in the world, to find supports and meanings, to be a living person among other living people.
For more than twelve years, I've studied art. Then, philosophy, theology, studying psychology and psychotherapy.
Jungian analysis, perhaps, was my first passion in psychology, and I still draw a lot of inspiration from it. The ideas of archetypal psychology, existential analysis, humanistic psychology also remain very important to me.
I found that process-oriented psychotherapy (Deep Democracy, World Work) plays an important role in my life, it is my community, my home.
After graduating as a practical psychologist, I chose to study Gestalt therapy, specializing in working with different types of trauma, at the Kyiv Gestalt University (Ukraine). I completed a specialized program with Professor Philip Brownell (USA) on Gestalt Therapy for Addictions and Self-Treatment Behavior and a program on Post-Secular, Spiritually Integrated Gestalt Therapy. Had training at the Institute of Complex Trauma (UK). Training with Dr. Lynn Stadler (VSOF) in working with projective techniques and metaphors, Violet Oaklander's Gestalt play therapy, bodywork with Ruella Frank, and bodywork in Bodynamics. I continue to participate in Process Oriented Psychotherapy events. And I am studying the Process Oriented Psychotherapy Mastery Program at the Process Work Institute of Hawai’i. I have warm friendships with the Carmelite monastery Maria Jotendorf in the Austrian countryside and stay here regularly for spiritual practice.
I work in individual sessions, therapeutic and art therapeutic groups. I also conduct philosophical lectures and meetings around the topic of authenticity and the authentic path.
I love working with imagination, metaphor, inner work and deep bodywork. The greatest gift I received from psychology, and this is the greatest gift of life in general, is the joy of Meeting. Co-creation.
The greatest fear of a person is not to be fulfilled. Every person is a seed of creation that has been embodied in them. The responsibility to take place in the large-scale project of a Human is the responsibility for oneself as a Creation. Nothing exists outside the path and climbing.
If you breathed in Life honestly, at least once, there will be no turning back for you...

path.
